Nationality

  • Master’s degree from a UGC-recognized university
  • Minimum Marks:
    • General: 55%
    • Reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PwD): 50%
  • Candidates with a State Eligibility Test (SET) qualification before June 1, 2002, are exempted from UGC NET.

Age Limit (as of June 1, 2025)

  • Junior Research Fellowship (JRF): Maximum age: 30 years.
